If you've been watching the Oscars, you've noticed it's been a night of thanks.

Kimmel tried to encourage winners to keep their thanks short by promising to award a jet ski to the person with the shortest acceptance speech. Of course, winners thank the people who helped them receive their statue.

But Kimmel wasn't going to let the night end without thanking the people who keep this award show relevant - us, the movie-goers.

At the Chinese Theater across the street from the Dolby Theater where the Oscars are held, a group was watching "A Wrinkle In Time" for what they thought was a special screening. But while they were watching, Kimmel was back at the Dolby Theater gathering movie-makers and actors to surprise them with a star-studded thanks.

Kimmel entered the theater with Gal Gadot, Ansel Elgort, Margot Robbie, Mark Hamill, Guillermo del Toro, Emily Blunt, Lupita Nyongo, Armie Hammer and Lin-Manuel Miranda, all armed with candy and hot-dog guns (yes, like a T-shirt gun...but for hot dogs) for the surprised and excited fans.

Kimmel even pulled one man from the crowd and handed him a card to introduce the next presenters!
