The family of the 18-year-old who died on a ride at the Ohio State Fair will file a wrongful death lawsuit, the family attorney's said on Friday.
The law firm of Kitrick, Lewis & Harris Co., was hired by the Jarrell family to investigate the incident that led to their son's death.
Tyler Jarrell, of Columbus, was thrown about 50 feet and pronounced dead on the midway. The Marine Corps and school officials said Jarrell enlisted last week and was going to begin basic training after his high school graduation next year.
The family also is using the company Introtech Crash Reconstruction to replicate the ride and reconstruct how the incident happened.
