A 15-month-old girl is dead after being hit by a vehicle that was backing out of a driveway in Akron Thursday afternoon.
The child was at a home in the 1200 block of Lily Street around 4:40 p.m. when she was hit by the car.
She was transported to Akron Children's Hospital where she later died from her injuries.
The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Akron Police Department are investigating.
