Police are looking for two people who allegedly robbed an Akron store of around $200 worth of NyQuil on Monday afternoon.

The incident happened at Family Dollar, 915 South Arlington St., around 1 p.m.

A man and woman were approached by a manager about shoplifting after she spotted them taking hundreds of dollars worth of the over-the-counter medication. The manager confronted the male suspect and there was a struggle over the bag the medicine was in.

According to police, the man pulled up his shirt, brandished a firearm and said he would shoot the employee if she called the police. The robbers fled the store and drove off in a white four-door Pontiac Bonneville with a back window broken out and covered in plastic.

The first suspect is described as a black male, about 18 to 20 years old. He stood around 6-foot tall and weighed around 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants.

The second suspect is described as a Hispanic female about 18 to 20 years old. She stood about 5-foot-tall and was last seen wearing a white tank top, pink shorts and sandals.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Akron police at 330-375-2552.
