Authorities are investigating the cause of a double fatal crash that happened in Akron on Friday morning.
The crash happened just after 9 a.m. on Kelly Avenue near Techway Drive. According to authorities, a 2004 Jaguar S-Type was heading north at a high rate of speed on Kelly Avenue while a 2004 Kia Sedona was heading south on the same street.
The Jaguar went left of center and hit the Kia head-on, authorities said. Both the 34-year-old male driver of the Jaguar and the 27-year-old female driver of the Kia were taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead.
There weren't any passengers in either vehicle, police said.
Authorities didn't say if any drugs or alcohol are a factor in the crash.
The names of the victims have not been released.
