Son of couple killed at Cleveland car dealership: 'We need to find who did it'

The son of the man and woman shot and killed at their Cleveland car dealership Saturday night is asking anyone with information to come forward.

"We need everyone's eyes open. We need to find who did it," Colin Zaczkowski told News 5 Wednesday.

A total of $7,500 in reward money is being offered in the case. Crimestoppers offered $2,500. Cuyahoga County prosecutors added $5,000 to that.

"This was so much more than a business," said Zaczkowski.

Trina and Micheal Kuznik were both shot in the head and killed inside Mr. Cars Inc. on E. 185th Street in Cleveland.

Zaczhowski went to the lot and found the couple dead after unsuccessful attempts to reach them.

Cleveland police said two cars were stolen — a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe and a 2008 BMW 528i.

Authorities are still looking for those vehicles.

Standing outside his family's business, a business that will never be the same, Zaczkowski shared a message for everyone reading this because someone knows something: "Don't hesitate. There's a whole army of people, a whole community that's trying to figure out what happened here and we need all the information as soon as possible."

In March, News 5 Investigator Sarah Buduson interviewed Trina about a recent break-in at the business for an upcoming story. In the interview, Kuznik complained about police response times and said it took an officer six hours to respond to her call.

"We have a huge problem in this city — a huge problem!” Kuznik said in that March 22 interview that was set to air at a later date.

“You can’t get the police here,” she continued. "There’s either not enough officers, or too much crime or something’s going on to the fact that we can’t get any help or support here.”

Kuznik’s assessment of crime trends tragically described what would happen to her and her husband just weeks later.

“How is it right that people can come and just do this to us and nobody stops it?” she asked. “It’s like the wild west.”

There is a vigil for the couple planned for Friday at 6 p.m. in front of the dealership.

The descriptions of the vehicles police are looking for are below:

1. 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe, two-door, white with gold trim and beige or taupe leather interior. The vehicle has a rear gate that opens on both sides.

2. 2008 BMW 528i, four-door, silver in color. The 528i vehicle model is visible on the right side of the lip of the trunk lid.
