A 21-year-old Lakewood man is accused of molesting an 8-year-old boy who he was babysitting, according to Fairview Park police.
Thomas L. Gilman is charged with rape, two counts of kidnapping and two counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles. He was initially placed under arrest for gross sexual imposition.

The incident was reported June 28, police said, after family members of the victim came forward to police. A grand jury indicted Gilman on August 22.
The child was taken to a local hospital for treatment and evaluated by a sexual assault nurse examiner, police said.
Gilman’s arraignment is set for Sept. 6 at 8:30 a.m. in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court.
