Man, 19, accused of raping 14-year-old behind Warrensville Heights middle school

A 19-year-old man was indicted Wednesday for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl behind Warrensville Heights middle school in May. 

According to court documents, the offense happened on May 30. It did not happen during school hours.

Uriel Daniels is accused of taking the 14-year-old behind the building and raping her while holding her against her will. 

Daniels is charged with rape and kidnapping. He is being held on $50,000 bond and, if released on bond, cannot go within 500 feet of the middle school. 

The Warrensville Heights City School District issued the following statement to News 5:

Ensuring a safe learning environment is a top priority for Warrensville Heights City School District. We are fully cooperating with the Warrensville Heights Police Department and have confidence in them to investigate the matter.
