Police and the evidence response team are processing items found in a wooded area in Brooklyn.

A source close to the investigation tells News 5 the search is connected to the disappearance of Lakewood mother RoaaS Al Dhannoon.

Members of the Lakewood Police Department, FBI, Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office and the Ohio Search and Recovery K-9 Team searched the area along Big Creek.

A container buried along the creek was located and excavated. The item is "suspected of containing biological remains," according to Lakewood police.

The medical examiner's office responded to the scene and took possession of the container. Police said it could be several days until results are complete.

Al Dhannoon, 24, was last seen at her Edgewater Drive apartment in October. She was recently divorced from her husband, who was later charged with violating a protection order. He is currently serving a 6-month sentence in jail but has not be charged in connection with her disappearance.

Rebecca Whittington lives nearby and told News 5 she has seen detectives in the area for several days

"I've been seeing the detectives with dogs, canines going through the field digging and going through the woods," she said.

Whittington also said she saw police cutting down brush and digging in the woods.
