The biological remains found in a wooded area in Brooklyn earlier this week have been identified as missing Lakewood mother Roaa S. Al Dhannoon.

The cause and manner of her death are still pending, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office.

The Lakewood Police Department will hold a news conference Thursday at 11 a.m. to provide an update on the case.

Members of the Lakewood Police Department, FBI, Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office and the Ohio Search and Recovery K-9 Team searched an area along Big Creek on Monday.

A container buried along the creek was located and excavated. The item was "suspected of containing biological remains."

A positive identification was made through fingerprints.

Al Dhannoon, 24, was last seen at her Edgewater Drive apartment in October. She was recently divorced from her husband, Fahad Mohammed Saeed, who was later charged with violating a protection order.

He is currently serving a 6-month sentence in jail but has not be charged in connection with her disappearance.
