The Rocky River Police Department has created a MeetUp Spot for people using the mobile marketplace OfferUp.
The designated MeetUp, an area in front of the department, will give buyers and sellers a safe place to complete online transactions. The MeetUp Spot is marked with a 12-inch by 18-inch sign.
Buyers and sellers are also encouraged to come into the police department lobby if they feel they need additional security.
