Firefighters: Auto shop in Sandusky likely a total loss after massive fire guts building

SANDUSKY, Ohio — An auto shop was gutted by fire early Saturday morning in Sandusky.

Authorities responded to the 300 block of West Perkins Avenue after receiving reports of a fire at Highline Auto Works.

The building was fully engulfed when crews arrived. Firefighters knocked down the fire and battled hotspots throughout the morning.

Authorities said the building appears to be a total loss.

No injuries were reported.
