33-year-old man on motorcycle dies in Bath Township crash

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle on Sunday evening.

Troopers arrived at the crash scene on N. Cleveland Massillon Road around 6:33 p.m., just north of Yellow Creek Road in Bath Township.

A driver traveling southbound on N. Cleveland-Massillon Road in a 2011 Dodge Nitro attempted to make a left turn into a private driveway.

The vehicle hit a red, 2017 Harley-Davidson motorcycle that was going northbound on N. Cleveland-Massillon Road.

The man on the motorcycle — 33-year-old Brian Drozek of Akron — was transported to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.Drozek of Akron — was transported to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Drozek was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The driver of the Dodge Nitro was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
