An RV several vehicles on Route 8, killing one driver.
The Summit County Sheriff's Office and Boston Heights Police Department responded to a car crash around 3:50 p.m. on Thursday. At the scene, it was found that an American Coach motorhome struck two vehicles that were stopped near the I80 / Turnpike exit lane.
The RV struck a Honda Odyssey with eight passengers. The Odyssey then struck a Dodge Caravan with one passenger.
The driver of the Honda Odyssey, a 47-year-old from Washington, was pronounced dead at the scene. Other individuals involved in the crash were transported to Akron General, Akron City and Akron Children's Hospital.
The crash remains under investigation. Summit Metro Response Team said that it does not appear that speed or alcohol played a factor in the crash.
