LAKEWOOD, Ohio — A program through "Lakewood Alive" is helping residents keep the exterior of their home looking beautiful with a grant to paint their home.

The program will provide a grant of up to $3,500 to City of Lakewood homeowners and residents for exterior paint, supplies and labor to paint your home.

The goal of the grant is to help residents improve their neighborhood and to reduce lead hazards by educating residents on lead safety issues.

If only the grant amount is used and no personal contributions are made, clients are required to contribute 10 percent of the grant cost towards the project.

Qualified applicants must meet HUD-established income guidelines.
