CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Animal Protective League is searching for a home for Scuttle, a 4-year-old Shar-Pei mix.

Scuttle is a moderately active dog that likes going on walks and out on a leisurely sniff around the yard, while also taking time to soak up the sun and relax.

Like most Shar-Peis, Scuttle is pretty independent and doesn't need attention 24/7. Because of his independence, Scuttle would do best in an all adult household, the shelter said.

Scuttle is still a little nervous with human interaction and appreciates a slow approach but is also food motivated, which is helpful for training. He was brought in with two other female Shar-Peis that he got along well with but wasn't as confident with other dogs he has met, leading the shelter to believe he might do best as the only dog in the home or with a mellow dog he meets prior to being adopted.
