A microscopic worm is devastating one of Ohio's most common tree species.
Beech Leaf Disease was first detected in Lake County in 2012 and damages the leaf tissue of beech trees, which makes them susceptible to disease and eventually kills them.
It's a major problem in Ohio.
The species is a feature of local forests, parks and college campuses with leaves that turn a golden yellow in the fall.
