UPDATE: On March 15, the owner of the Popcorn Shop just happened to be driving by her business when she saw that the 70-pound popcorn ball was back. According to a police report, someone placed it on a table in front of the Popcorn Shop on 53. N. Main Street in Chagrin Falls.

The popcorn ball was not completely intact, however. The Chagrin Falls Police describe it as "missing a small section."

Owner Molly Gebler has elected not to pursue charges.

A 70-pound popcorn ball was stolen outside of the Popcorn Shop on 53. N. Main Street in Chagrin Falls.

The popcorn ball, valued at $700, was stolen sometime on Saturday night on March 11.

An employee at the shop advised police that she was unsure if the popcorn ball was stolen or picked up by its owner.

The employee said she contacted the owner who said it wasn't picked up. The popcorn ball had been sitting inside and outside the shop since New Year's Eve.
