Once a month, the Cleveland Flea brings Tyler Village to life with the city's dreamers and doers selling everything from food, antiques, art and everything under the sun. In September, this same flea market is expanding to the east side.

The Cleveland Flea announced on Monday that it's expanding operations to The Van Aken District in Shaker Heights.
Admission is free to this brunch daytime market. There will be tons of food options and beer from HiHo Brewing Co.
Location: The Van Aken District in Shaker Heights | 20065 Chagrin Boulevard in Shaker Heights
When: Sunday, September 16 at 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The flea will close out the outdoor season with East Side Flea on Sunday, Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

If there is anyone who appreciates Cleveland's character and rust belt-innovative charm, it's Michigan transplant, Stephanie Sheldon. It's her eye for what Cleveland needs and wants, mixed with her growing love for the city, now a decade in the making, that propelled her to create the Cleveland Flea.
When the economy tanked in 2009, Sheldon started teaching graphic design. She soon started pop-up restaurants and invited other creative like-minded people. What she found was many of them were pursuing hobbies in soap making, textiles, and furniture, but none of them went beyond the hobby status.
