The victims of the shooting in Las Vegas were remembered during the Country Music Association Awards' in-memoriam segment on Wednesday night.
As Carrie Underwood finished her rendition of "Softly and Tenderly," the photos and names of the 58 victims were displayed on the screen with the date of the tragedy -- October. 1, 2017.

The audience held lighted candles as Underwood sang.
The shooting in Las Vegas is the worst mass shooting in modern American history.
Fifty-eight people were killed when a gunman on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel and casino began firing into the crowd at the Route 91 Harvest Festival.
