CLEVELAND — It's the moment all Mario Kart fans have been waiting to experience. Tickets are now on sale for the real-life go-karting game coming to Cleveland in September.
Cleveland is one of 16 cities hosting the rally, which takes place at High Voltage Karting at 333 Foundry Street in Medina on Saturday, Sept. 14 and Sunday, Sept. 15, and again on Sept. 22.
Tickets are $55 per racer plus tax. High Voltage Karting is offering a special 10% promotion through the event's page here.
On race day, participants must show their ID and sign waivers upon their arrival. The costume will be provided. Racers will compete for a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas for the Mushroom Rally Finals. Participants who have the fastest lap time and who have collected the most stars will qualify.
Adult racers must be 14 or older and be at least 55 inches tall. The junior minimum requirement is 48 inches tall.
“We’re really excited to host Mushroom Rally,” said Tim Obert, General Manager of High Voltage Karting, in a press release. “It has a fanatical following around the world and is just great fun. I guess it’s all come full-circle because we used to ride go-karts as kids, then we played karting video games, and now we’re racing go-karts with video game characters. That’s just awesome!”
Limited tickets are available. You can buy them here.
