HGTV's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" is making a comeback and searching for families with incredible stories that must be told.

The iconic home-makeover series, which last aired on ABC in December 2012, will reboot on HGTV in 2020.

The producers are looking for families who are not only homeowners looking to remodel their house into a home, but also renters and people interested in relocating to their dream home — a new twist to the show.

"The new update on the classic series is in search of those who, in particular, have given back to their community in a substantive way despite personal challenges, who have an inspirational, uplifting story to tell — and who would love to move into a beautiful new place to live — custom created for them by a team of design experts," according to HGTV's website.

If you, or someone you know, would be a perfect candidate and would like to apply, visit www.emhe.tv.

"Every application is reviewed by a member of the casting department, but please be aware that we receive hundreds of applications each week and, while we understand that you may have questions about the process, we cannot follow up with every application. IF WE ARE INTERESTED OR HAVE FURTHER QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR FAMILY OR YOUR SITUATION, WE WILL CALL YOU. IT COULD BE SEVERAL MONTHS BEFORE YOU HEAR FROM US!" -HGTV's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
