CLEVELAND — The holiday season in Cleveland is one of the most wonderful times of the year. From the dozens of holiday lightning displays across the city to outdoor activities like tobogganing and sledding, there’s lots to do. If you want a holiday activity that takes you away from the cold, go inside to Severance Hall where the Cleveland Orchestra is celebrating the holiday season with Christmas concerts.

This year’s series of a dozen concerts kicks off on Dec. 13.

These festive concerts will feature a selection of holiday favorites, including O Come All Ye Faithful, Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and Silent Night.

On Friday, Dec. 13 and Dec. 14, the Christmas Brass Quintet will have two matinee performances, featuring members of the Cleveland Orchestra.

On. Dec. 12, the orchestra will also present the holiday film, "It's a Wonderful Life in Concert," with the film playing in the background as the orchestra performs live.

The quintet will entertain young audience members (ages 3-6) with a sing-and-clap along with holiday tunes. Those who are under 18 can get in free with a purchase of an adult ticket.
