CLEVELAND — Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial start of summer in Northeast Ohio, when everyone gets outside to enjoy some sun and suds. From festivals to Lake Erie and every brewery, parade and bar in between, we looked at every event in town this weekend and picked our favorites.
1. Float the River
Enjoy some much-needed relaxation and an excuse to feel lazy with this two-hour tubing event down the Cuyahoga River. Bring your friends for a lazy river floating experience that will start at Waterworks Park in Cuyahoga Falls and end in downtown Cuyahoga Falls.

2. Taste of Summer Returns
All your favorite things wrapped up in one event: food, vendors, local music, beer, craft cocktails, bounce house, giant Jenga and more. This family-friendly shindig in the Flats East Bank includes views of the Cuyahoga River. The three-day event begins Friday, May 24 at 4-10 p.m.

3. Yoga on the Green
Whether you’re a first-time yoga-er or almost professional, this outside yoga event combines our love for relaxation with the outdoors in our favorite city. Sessions are led by trained yoga instructors. The one this weekend will be held at Cleveland’s Public Square from 10-11 a.m.

4. Catch Meaning Music Festival
What began in 2016 to honor the memory of two men is now a festival recognized for indie music talent. Attendees can expect to hear FunkyardX, Madeline Finn, Ashley Fulton, Jack Harris, Recess, and Hawken’s Jazz Band Rhythm Section.
Tickets are $26 and include admission to the museum. Two dollars of every ticket will be donated to the Cleveland Foundation. More info here.
5. Out of Eden, A Tribute to the Eagles
If you haven't been to Whiskey Island, you're missing out. This Eagles tribute concert is the perfect reason to enjoy lake views while listening to classic hits.
