The Powerball drawing for the whopping $750 million jackpot will be held Wednesday, March 27. Here’s everything you need to know:

  • The only place locally to watch the numbers being drawn is on News 5 Cleveland at 11 p.m. Wednesday. Tune in to News 5 and watch!
  • The cash value of the jackpot, if you choose the lump sum, is $465.5 million.
  • The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338.00
  • No one has won the Powerball jackpot since Dec. 26, 2018. The jackpot has continued to grow since then, reaching $625 million on Sunday.
  • According to LottoNumbers.com, the most frequently-drawn main Powerball numbers in the past 4 years are: 69 (drawn 40 times), 64 (drawn 39 times), 32, (drawn 38 times), 23 (drawn 37 times) and 28 (drawn 37 times.). The most frequently drawn red Powerball is 24, having been drawn 21 times.
  • The $750 million jackpot of the fourth-largest in Powerball history, and the seventh-largest in U.S. lottery history, according to a news release from the Multi-State Lottery Association.
  • Ohio is one of just six states where you can still claim lottery winnings anonymously, according to Forbes. The other states are Delaware, Kansas, Maryland, North Dakota and South Carolina.
  • You must claim your prize within 180 days of the drawing date, according to the Ohio Lottery.
  • Powerball is played in 44 states, DC, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
  • Powerball consists of five numbers from 1 to 69 for the white balls; then players select one number from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball.
  • You have to match all five white balls and the red Powerball to win the jackpot. Matching the Powerball is worth at least $4. Matching all five white balls but not the Powerball is worth at least $1 million.
