WESTLAKE, Ohio — Hot Chicken Takeover, a restaurant known for its southern flare, is expanding with its first ever Cleveland-area restaurant at Crocker Park in Westlake.
Known for its Nashville-style hot chicken, grandmother-approved sides (that's important) and the never-ending free iced tea refills, Hot Chicken Takeover will take over the hungry appetites of chicken loving fans.
“When it came to selecting our first site outside Columbus, Cleveland was the obvious choice for all of us," said Founder Joe DeLoss in a press release. “We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the community and to deliver our mission: creating extraordinary experiences for extraordinary people.”
Hot Chicken Takeover draws lines at its Columbus-based locations, which include North Market, Clintonville and Easton Gateway.
The location is scheduled to open in the summer of 2019, but before it does, Hot Chicken Takeover is partnering with organizations to host pop-up events across the Cleveland area, starting with a free banana pudding stand-on site at the restaurant's future location at Crocker Park, according to the release.
The restaurant will be located at Main Street in Crocker Park's Phase 3 across from H&M.
