FREDERICKSBURG, Ohio — Mrs. Miller’s Homemade Jams in Fredericksburg has issued a voluntary recall of its Smokey BBQ Bacon Jam and Spicy Chili Bacon Jam due to an undeclared soy allergen found in the Worcestershire sauce and hickory smoke ingredients used in the making of the jam, according to a release from the Ohio Department of Agriculture.
The ingredient labels of the 9-ounce jars do not state a soy allergen.
The recalled products were available for sale from April 1, 2019 to May 9, 2022 online and at the following retail and distribution locations:

“There have been no reports of illness involving the product addressed in this recall,” the Ohio Department of Agriculture said. “However, people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy could run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product. Individuals exhibiting signs or symptoms of foodborne illness or allergic reaction should contact a physician immediately.”
