CLEVELAND — Several locations across Northeast Ohio are offering free, hot holiday meals this week for those in need.
Due to Christmas Eve, the Greater Cleveland Food Bank is holding its weekly drive-thru distribution a day early on Wednesday at the Cleveland Municipal Lot from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Note that you must pre-register and bring the code you get when registered. You are also asked to make sure your trunk is empty before you arrive.
Since the start of the pandemic, the Greater Cleveland Food Bank has served more than 375,000 people, many for the first time ever.
The food bank also has a list of places where you can get a free, hot holiday meal through next week. The dates and locations that you can still get a free holiday meal include:
In Cuyahoga County:
12/23 – St. Edward High School Community Meal, 13500 Detroit Ave., Lakewood, OH 44107; serving dinner from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm
12/23 & 12/24 – Saints Robert and William Parish, 367 E 260th St., Euclid, OH 44132; 12/23: serving dinner from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm; 12/24: serving breakfast from 9:00 am – 10:00 am; call 216.731.1515 to make a reservation
12/26 – Sisters Ink-Oh, 2100 Lakeside Ave E., Cleveland, OH 44114; serving lunch at 11:30 am 12/29 – John Knox Presbyterian Church, 255200 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted, OH 44070; serving dinner from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm
In Lake County:
