Twins create healthy recipes following breast cancer diagnosis

Posted

When one woman and her twin sister learned she must be eating healthier while going through chemotherapy, they published a book of transformed recipes to help that cause.

Judy Vig was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013, she endured four months of chemotherapy and six weeks of radiation. During chemo, Vig says she craved traditional foods, though she needed to be eating healthier as a requirement of the chemo.

She and her sister, Joy Paoletti, took their favorite family recipes and replaced some of the fattier ingredients with lighter things, such as zuchini instead of pasta.

If the twins look familiar, it's because they have appeared on the Food Network in a cooking contest and again in a holiday special with Bobby Flay.
