80-year-old woman becomes Lorain County's first coronavirus death

LORAIN COUNTY, Ohio — An 80-year-old woman is Lorain County's first death from coronavirus complications.

The woman had no underlying health conditions.

“We have been working tirelessly responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. We continue to reach out to all known close contacts of confirmed COVID-19 cases to make sure we help prevent the spread of this disease, as well as ensure that the public has up-to date and reliable information,” said health commissioner David Covell.

The identify of the woman is not known.
