CLEVELAND — As the delta variant continues to push the surge in COVID-19 cases in Ohio, more high schools have canceled games due to players testing positive or quarantining for COVID-19.

  • On Tuesday, a rep from Streetsboro confirmed this weekend’s game against West Geauga has been canceled after a player tested positive.
  • Also on Tuesday, Beachwood High School said it had too many players in isolation or quarantine to play its game against John Marshall this week.

Last week, Beachwood canceled its game against Orange High School due to COVID-19 precautions, and Triway High School in Wooster canceled its first two games after a player tested positive.
