CLEVELAND — Cleveland Play House is offering a program that it usually teaches in Cleveland schools to an online setting so that children anywhere can participate in it.

The program, called CARE, helps students “improve English Language Arts achievement through an engaging curriculum that is aligned with the Common Core and focused on both individual and collective exploration of emotions through dramatic texts, video, and computer apps.”

Using theater techniques, the program aims to help children “develop empathy and broaden their understanding of each other and the world around them.”

CARE is offered to students in grades kindergarten through eight and available for free.
