Just a few days after resigning from her position to spend more time with her family and make the state's overall public health her main focus, former Ohio Health Director Dr. Amy Acton will join characters from “Sesame Street” in a CNN COVID-19 town hall special for children and parents.

Acton will be a part of “The ABCs of Covid-19: A CNN/Sesame Street Town Hall for Kids and Parents,” an hour-long special aimed to discuss summer safety, play dates, schooling and coping methods for families during the pandemic.

The former Ohio health director will join other guests including Olympic gold medal gymnasts Laurie Hernandez and Simone Biles, CEO of Baltimore City Schools Sonja Santelises and "Sesame Street" characters Elmo and Grover, among others.

“The ABCs of Covid-19: A CNN/Sesame Street Town Hall for Kids and Parents” airs on CNN at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 13.
