STRONGSVILLE, Ohio — As retail and consumer businesses begin to reopen Tuesday under guidance from the state and Gov. Mike DeWine, many places have taken steps to help keep shoppers safe, including SouthPark Mall in Strongsville and Belden Village Mall in Canton.

SouthPark Mall and Belden Village Mall announced they would be reopening Tuesday but with reduced hours. The malls will be open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 12 to 6 p.m.

The malls recommend shoppers do their best to park at a distance from other cars and to park near an entrance close to the store you are planning to shop at.

Masks are not required to be worn by shoppers but the malls recommend it.

The malls said some stores (and restaurants and salons when they are able to reopen) may have modified hours and suggests calling before heading to the store to check.

Hand sanitizing stations have been set up around the malls and janitorial staff clean throughout the day and the malls will each be thoroughly cleaned before reopening each day as well.
