PUT-IN-BAY, Ohio — Put-in-Bay announced a plan to reopen the island to visitors in line with guidelines set by the state.
Beginning May 11, the Ferry Service Miller Boat Line will operate on a seven day a week schedule, that can be found, here.
Jet Express service is set to begin in mid-May, according to the city. Village Docks and private marinas will open on May 15.
The city said hotels and lodging on the island are currently accepting reservations.
Measures to ensure safety have been implemented by the city, including curbside pickup at the Island General Store and designated hours for at-risk individuals at the Post Office and gas station.
Currently, summer employees as well as returning second home and cottage owners are being asked to quarantine for 14 days at their island residence or summer lodging, the city said.
Per Gov. Mike DeWine’s order, outside dining at restaurants and bars on the island will resume on May 15 and indoor dining will resume on May 21.
Trails at Put-in-Bay parks are open to the public but restrooms have been closed, according to the city.
