State Representative Stephanie Howse, who represents District 11 and the Cleveland area, has tested positive for COVID-19, she confirmed on Facebook Monday night.

“Hey Beautiful People, wanted to let you know that it was just confirmed that I have tested positive for the coronavirus,” Howse posted. “My symptoms (cough, lost of taste and lost of smell) are pretty mild and prayerfully I will make a full recovery.”

Howse said she is in isolation in her bedroom, taking it easy and staying hydrated.

On Tuesday, Gov. Mike DeWine announced during his coronavirus briefing that Howse, a member of the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus, tested positive.

“Just wanted to let her know that we are thinking of her, and praying for her and look for a quick recovery for her to be back in the state legislature,” DeWine said.
