On Friday, Ohio Department of Health Director Dr. Amy Acton signed health orders to extend social distancing requirements until July while also lifting some of the mandatory restrictions previously ordered to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. More here.

The Cleveland Department of Public Health was notified of 36 more confirmed test results for coronavirus in residents of the city and no new fatalities, bringing the total to 1,559 confirmed cases in the city of Cleveland and 50 fatalities. The new confirmed cases include males and females whose ages range from under 12 years old to in their 80s. Another 12 probable cases were reported today, bringing total probable cases to 381.

The Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas announced Friday that starting Monday, June 1, more in-person hearings will be allowed to take place at both the county and municipal court. More here.

The Cuyahoga County Fair Board announced on Friday that it is postponing this year's county fair until August 2021 due to COVID-19 concerns. More here.

High schools across Northeast Ohio are celebrating their senior class in new and unique ways as traditional graduation ceremonies take a back seat due to the coronavirus pandemic. More here.

The Erie County Health Department has confirmed that 60 people at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky have tested positive for COVID-19 and 10 have died. A second outbreak at a plant nursery has also been reported. More here.
