PARMA, Ohio — Frank Q. Jackson, Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson's grandson, was arrested Sunday morning after a police chase.
Police said they were trying to stop Frank Q. Jackson because his vehicle's tint was too dark.
During the stop, they asked Jackson to step out of the vehicle.
An officer attempted to get ahold of Jackson when he pulled away in his vehicle.
Officials said the officer was able to run with the car before being freed. He was not physically dragged or seriously injured during the incident.
Officers chased Jackson's vehicle, where he was driving over 100 mph.
Police said they lost the vehicle after he exited westbound on I-90 at Lorain Avenue.
Jackson turned himself in to the Parma Police Department around 3 a.m.
Last week, a warrant was issued for his arrest for allegedly hitting his girlfriend in the face during an argument in December 2020.
