PORT CLINTON, Ohio — The Port Clinton Police Department announced Monday that the city assisted in the removal of the chimney of the home 14-year-old Harley Dilly was found in.
Harley went missing on Dec. 20, 2019. His disappearance prompted a nationwide search. On Jan. 14, Harley’s body was found lodged in the chimney of an unoccupied home a few hundred feet from his home inside an unoccupied house on Fulton Street.
Port Clinton police said that out of respect to the Dilly family, the homeowners removed the chimney Monday morning with assistance from Port Clinton authorities.
A visitation was held Saturday for Harley. A private funeral service will be held for the family at a later date.
