LAKEWOOD, Ohio — Plans for a walk-up window at Malley’s Chocolates were approved by the Lakewood Architectural Board of Review Thursday evening, on the condition that bike racks are incorporated into the final plan.

The plans show windows to order ice cream along Victoria Avenue, with possible benches and seating further down Victoria. David Robar, the Director of the Architecture and Planning company Vocon, told the Board the line for customers would extend towards Madison Avenue, curling around the front of the building if necessary.

But Robar didn’t mention a timeline for the project during his presentation to the Board. Malley’s Vice President of Marketing, Dan Malley tells News 5 walk-up ice cream service and potential outdoor seating has been part of the company’s internal discussions about improving the customer experience. He says there are no imminent plans to install the features right now.
