Black Friday gets all the hype but is it the best way to get a bargain? Could you be better off sitting on your couch and surfing the web? Either way, here are codes and coupons to save you cash.
“Deals have actually started as early as Sunday,” said Rachel Critch who blogs for CouponingWithRachel.com. “So, there are already some Black Friday deals you can get online now and you don’t even have to wait until Thursday and there are coupon codes you can use as well.”
She said one of the best coupon codes this year belongs to Kohls. "Kohls.com has a couple of promo codes one is joy which is 15 percent off, they also have one for 10% off home good purchases and what's nice is those two can be combined,” said Critch.
Macy's is offering $20 off an order of $50 or more using the code BLKFRI50.
Under Armor Outlet has now through November 26 where you can save $30 off $100 purchase with code armour30.
There’s also 50% off your entire order at The Gap when you use the code BLKFRIDAY.
But, if you do have an itch to get out and shop Black Friday in person, be sure to check out your favorite retailers’ website before leaving the house.
"What’s nice is that you can look at their website and you can use the coupons that are right there and often times there is a link to print them off and take them to the store,” Critch told us.
If you've got a really tight budget, here's a freebie for you. If you're willing to wait in line before Thanksgiving, JCPenney could give you $500 off a purchase of $500 or more. If you don’t win, you can still get $100 or $10 coupons.
The website Consumerist said each JCPenney store will give one $500 coupon. The reported only one out of every 100 coupons will be $100 off. The other 99 will give you just $10 off your purchase.
