Target is offering 15 percent off select classroom supplies and clothing for teachers from July 13-20, a local organization is offering teachers access to shop at a resource center in August, and the State of Ohio is providing a tax-free weekend in August for back-to-school shopping.

Teachers, including those who work in daycare centers, early childhood learning centers, home schools and more, can enter their teacher ID on Target.com to get the 15 percent off coupon to use in-store or online.

The coupon is good on select school supplies, classroom storage and organization items, Pillowfort furniture items, Bulleye’s Playground items, food storage bags, disinfecting wipes, facial tissue, hand sanitizer, and women’s and men’s apparel, accessories and shoes.

Shoes and Clothes for Kids, a Cleveland-based non-profit organization, will also be opening up their Resource Center for classroom teachers to shop at in August. The group serves 10,000 kids and 4,000 teachers every year.

For teachers and parents looking to save on back-to-school shopping, the Ohio Sales Tax Holiday will take place from Friday, August 2 at 12 a.m. until Sunday, August 4 at 11:59 p.m.

During the holiday, the following items are exempt from sales and use tax: clothing priced at $75 per item or less, school supplies priced at $20 per item or less, and school instructional material priced at $20 or less.
