GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio — Some residents may find themselves throwing away unwanted campaign signs, but the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District (CCSWD) is asking residents to not place signs in curbside recycling.

Residents can drop off unwanted campaign yard signs—plastic film, corrugated plastic and cardboard signs plus the metal stands— at the CCSWD located at 4750 East 131st Street in Garfield Heights.

The district has been collecting campaign signs since the 2012 general election.

A drop-off box is in the lobby, which is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Materials are recycled by Northeast Recycling Specialists in Wickliffe.
