GREEN, Ohio — The Summit County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a home in Green with a “Dump Trump” sign was shot at early Wednesday morning.
The resident told authorities that an unknown person went into the yard and grabbed his anti-trump sign. A second unknown person shot at a window that also had a sign displayed behind it, authorities said.
The window and the home’s siding were damaged by gunfire. Authorities said they recovered two shotgun shell casings from the scene.
The resident told deputies that prior to the shooting someone had taken photos of the signs and put them in their mailbox along with other mailers in support of Donald Trump, according to the sheriff’s office.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 330—643-8637.
