CLEVELAND — This week's Trip Up Trent segment went to Raia in South Euclid.

Raia wanted to know how Thundersnow forms.

Trent said it's the same science behind thunderstorms only in winter and with snow. You need the warm moist air at the surface to rise and create the thunderstorm. Winter is very tough, though. Colder air is usually at the surface and limits the convection needed for storms.

It's a great question Raia!
