The first day of school is around the corner, and for some it's much closer than others.
LeBron James expressed his first-day-of-school jitters on Twitter on Sunday ahead of his I PROMISE School's opening day.
On Monday, the I PROMISE School on West Market Street in LeBron's hometown of Akron will open for 240 third and fourth graders. The school is a partnership between the LeBron James Family Foundation and Akron Public Schools. It is the culmination of LeBron's I PROMISE Program which encourages kids to finish school. By 2022, the building will house nearly 1,000 students from first through eighth grades.
"Tomorrow is going to be one of the greatest moments (if not the greatest) of my life when we open the I PROMISE School," LeBron said through a series of tweets on Sunday morning.
The jitters before the first day of school are real right now!!! Tomorrow is going to be one of the greatest moments (if not the greatest) of my life when we open the #IPROMISE School. This skinny kid from Akron who missed 83 days of school in the 4th grade had big dreams... https://t.co/PwmRaHRfng
