EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio — Nearly a dozen people were arrested, and multiple guns were seized Friday by East Cleveland police during a “zero tolerance” detail.
At around 8:54 p.m. Friday, officers saw a group of people loitering around an apartment complex near Euclid Avenue and Garfield Road, police said.
Officers investigated and were then led to a vacant apartment where the group had been hanging out.
Authorities said that 11 individuals were arrested, and eight guns were seized.
“When traveling to East Cleveland, remember these words from Johnny Cash: ‘Don't take your guns to town, son. Leave your guns at home,’” police said.
