Akron police are investigating the shooting of a 16-year-old boy Wednesday afternoon on the city's Southwest side.
The shooting happened around 5 p.m. near Manchester Road and Roselle Avenue, police said.
According to authorities, the teen was walking on Manchester Road when he heard gunshots nearby and realized he had been shot in the leg.
The boy was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police haven't released any information regarding any suspects.
