AKRON, Ohio — Two men are facing drug trafficking charges after Akron police found drugs, guns and cash while executing a search warrant Tuesday morning.

According to the Akron Police Department, DeShane Stafford, 44, and Kevin Lidge, 29, have been charged with aggravated trafficking in fentanyl, a first-degree felony. They were also charged with having weapons under disability.

On Tuesday morning, Akron police and agents from Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives executed two search warrants. The first one was in the 1300 block of Tioga Avenue while the second one was in the 2900 block of Clearfield Avenue. The warrants were part of an investigation into drug trafficking in the area.

Authorities found 150 grams of suspected fentanyl, ecstasy pills and around $1,000 in cash from the residence on Tioga Avenue. Police also seized three loaded firearms.

A 28-year-old man at the Clearfield Avenue location was arrested on a federal probation violation, police said. No drugs were found at that residence.

Stafford and Lidge are currently being held in the Summit County Jail.
