CANTON, Ohio — Three juveniles are facing felony charges for robbing a man with autism who was playing basketball in Canton on Monday.
According to the Canton Police Department, two of the juveniles were arrested after a warrant was issued on a second-degree felony robbery charge. Authorities are still searching for the third juvenile.
Following their arrests, the two juveniles were transported to the Faircrest Detention Center.
Authorities say additional charges may be forthcoming.
The attack happened around 2 p.m. at Waterworks Park on Feb. 17.
The 19-year-old victim said several juveniles approached and assaulted him and robbed him of his headphones.
A good Samaritan stepped in after witnessing the attack — a woman drove her car directly onto the basketball court while honking her horn. She was able to get the man to safety and then call 911. After the woman picked up the man in her Jeep, the four juveniles fled the scene.
The 19-year-old was taken to a nearby hospital, treated and later released.
